The purpose of this research is to explain the ontological principles of lying from the perspective of verses and traditions and to investigate the status of attention to it in the curriculum of the second elementary school in Iran.
Method: To achieve this goal, descriptive-analytical method was first used and then quantitative content analysis method was used.
The principles obtained included: denial of monotheism and the system of witnesses and evidence of the world, denial of resurrection and the Day of Judgment, ignorance and ignorance towards God's attributes, feelings of inferiority and self-deprecation of the individual, fear and panic, and the educational principles extracted were: Monotheism and witness system, introducing the teacher to the Day of Resurrection and Resurrection, strengthening self-esteem in the teacher, introducing the teacher to God and the purpose of creation, preventing arrogance in the teacher and the principle of cultivating courage in the teacher. The findings also showed that among these principles, the principle of introducing the teacher to God and the purpose of creation has the highest frequency (46 times) and the principle of strengthening the self-esteem of the teacher has the least frequency (4 times) in the textbooks of the second year of elementary school.
Conclusion: Considering the lack of proportional and balanced attention to the aforementioned six principles, an imbalance in the level of attention to the ontological foundations of the moral vice of lying was identified in the books of the second elementary school.
